The Board of hub West Scotland (hWS) Limited is thrilled to announce that Annemarie O’Donnell has been appointed as the Company’s new Independent Chair. Annemarie will take up her new position on 1st January 2025.
With over 30 years of experience at Glasgow City Council, where she served as Chief Executive, Annemarie has an incredible track record in driving inclusive economic growth and delivering transformative regeneration projects. From major infrastructure improvements to new schools, homes, and attracting inward investment, Annemarie’s leadership has made a real difference to communities across Scotland.
Annemarie’s deep commitment to working with partners across the public, private, and third sectors to address social challenges, paired with her expertise as a member of the Law Society of Scotland, brings invaluable insight and experience as we face a future of economic uncertainty. The Board are confident that under her leadership, hWS will continue to strengthen collaboration and provide solutions that will benefit all members of the hub partnership.
Our current Chair, Jo Armstrong will be stepping down at the end of her second term, having led the Board since 2018. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jo for her exceptional leadership and dedication.
