Kirkintilloch Town Hall wins Town Centre Regeneration Project of the Year at the Scottish Property Awards
We are delighted that Kirkintilloch Town Hall won Town Centre Regeneration Project of the Year at the Scottish Property Awards last night.
The restoration and extension to the beautiful B-listed Kirkintilloch Town Hall is an exciting £5.5m project to convert the building into a flexible, contemporary space to cater for a range of uses, such as performances, events, weddings, heritage displays, receptions and meetings.
The extension will enable the building to be accessible on all levels and provide modern office accommodation on the first floor.
Hub West Scotland worked with our Partners East Dunbartonshire Council and our Supply Chain Partners, Central Building Contractors (CBC) Michael Laird Architects, Doig + Smith, Struer, David Narro and Hawthorne Boyle to develop the design.
Construction work took place between May 2016 and September 2017 and the building reopened April 2018.
Iain Marley, Chief Executive of hub West Scotland, added, “We were delighted to work in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council to transform Kirkintilloch Town Hall into a high quality and flexible facility through the restoration of the original building and the skillful addition of the new extension. It’s already clear that the revitalised Town Hall will play a significant role at the heart of the community and the investment will benefit residents for years to come”
